Our favourite hang out on the beach is Cafe Del Mar and it really does not matter if it is day or night this is the place to be. Playing a mix of chill out tunes too some more progressive stuff as the night kicks off. It is only a few minutes walk away and the staff are always accommodating to our backpackers serving refreshing cocktails and snacks by the sea with that amazing castle as a backdrop.
Otantik Ocakbasi is dead opposite us and perfect for those wishing to try kebabs from a traditional clay oven. If it is a quick snack then a large variety of soups are available with that fresh bread again from the clay oven together with other local specialities.
For those of you preferring fish then it should be down to the end of the street (150 meters) and cross over into the fish market. Here you simply take your pick of todays catch from the many fish mongers select a restaurant you wish to dine in and they will cook your fresh choice. They also have a large selection of meze dishes and it is always traditional to wash this down with the local tipple, Raki.
For fast food and those of you who consider yourselves as gastronomic adventures then you should try a kokorec. From early evening you can not help but smell the spices from this speciality being cooked over hot coals just meters from our front door and available all night for the late night revilers.
Other cheap fast food options are available and all within 50 meters of us, including whole roast chicken, various kebabs and sandwiches. All of the restaurants mentioned have a variety of vegetarian options and also do not forget that we host our very own roof top BBQ every night where meat, fish and vegetarian menus are available.
We usually start the night in the backpackers to get warmed up and take advantage of the more reasonably priced drink and after this we will introduce you to Bodrum's nuclear powered night life.
White House has been the backpackers favourite over the last couple of years as our first stop. This beach side bar come club is a perfect start with relaxed seating outside and full dance party going on inside. The drinks are cheaper than the clubs and entrance is free.
Well how do I start as there are so many options so I guess I start with the biggest and most famous, Halikarnas. This mega club is known around the world and is one of the largest open air clubs in Europe. Hosting the best international DJs and dance shows, the thunder of this club can be heard all over town.
Bodrum Club Catamaran is a floating club which after partying allover the world has to take the prize as the best concept club I have ever raved in. With a glass dance floor and more than 1500 party people the catamaran takes off around 1.30am and returns at 5am with constant adrenaline filled speed boat taxi service taking party people back and forth.
