Seasons In Bodrum

When to visit Bodrum?

There is such variety in the atmosphere of Bodrum as the seasons change that you can hardly call it one city. In summer it is the buzzing social hub of a whole peninsula, whilst in autumn it mellows out into a chilled town with notably fewer inhabitants. During the short winter Bodrum sleeps, and as spring comes around there’s a distinct buzz in the air as the whole city prepares for summer once more. Because of this drastic variation, WE ARE NOT OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND. To give you an idea of when you can visit, and what you should expect, we’ve put together this calendar…

  1. Summer (May – Early October)

Bodrum comes to life! This is the longest season in our calendar, as the town is buzzing with tourists and locals alike, the weather hits its peak, and the attractions open up for business. The hostel is often fully booked for this period, and it becomes a brilliant melting pot of travellers from across the globe. Backpackers from every corner of the world meet and socialise on our terrace and explore the town by day and night, and the hostel is fully staffed and open to bookings and walk-ins alike.

During this period we accommodate people on the terrace, and the surrounding bars are open until early in the morning. This is the perfect time to visit Bodrum for its world-famous night life, but if you’re looking for a quiet night of rest then you should probably look elsewhere…

  2. Autumn (Late October-Early December)

Autumn comes late to Bodrum, as the weather is usually variable and the town begins to calm down for the winter. The hostel is usually quiet at this point, and so the availability of rooms depends on demand. It is worth contacting us ahead of time in order to ascertain whether we are still open…

  3. Winter (Late December – Early February)

Bodrum sleeps for the winter, and the hostel is closed for business. During this period there is little demand for accommodation in Bodrum, as the weather turns chilly and the tourist attractions are often closed for the season.

  4. Spring (Late February – April)

Bodrum, and the hostel, prepares for the hectic summer season. The hostel is usually closed for business during this period in order to perform vital maintenance and upkeep work. That being said, the season begins when the demand for accommodation weather permit, so it may be worth contacting us if you are unsure of our status…
